The Commissioner for Special Duties, Rt. Hon. Okpolupm Etteh, has expressed hope that full-scale operation of the Four-Point by Sheraton Hotel, one of the major projects under his Ministry, will commence in September 2019.

Rt. Hon. Etteh, who said he was satisfied with the pace and quality of work done at the facility, made this known on Thursday in Ikot Ekpene during an on-the-spot assessment of the project.

While informing that Governor Udom Emmanuel was very passionate about the project and committed to its completion, the Commissioner directed the contractor, Ronesans Construction Company Limited, to replace all worn-out materials and adhere to global standard in quality assurance.

The facility, when completed, will be managed by internationally renowned hospitality company, the Marriot Group.

Rt. Hon. Etteh, who was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Engr. Richard Ekpe, Directors and Heads of Department, was received and conducted round the facility by the Hotel Managing Director for Marriott’s Group, Mr Robb.

Mr. Robb, who conducted the team round the Bar, Conference Hall, Ballroom, Kitchen, Mechanical Floor as well as the external surrounding areas of the facility, appealed to the Ministry to give priority to critical areas that needed urgent attention.
