The political hero of Eket fondly referred to, by his teeming supporters as ATM due to his generosity, Dr. Dr. Nsidibe Akata has doled out monetary palliatives amounting to hundreds of thousands of naira.

He gave the ward chairmen in Eket Local Government Area free hand to make recommendations and select the beneficiaries with no strings attached.

According to the former foremost assembly aspirant who missed the Eket Constituency seat by the whiskers under the umbrella party, he has reached out to the poorest of the poorest and others in his immediate constituency.

As at press time, the concerned ward chairmen were spotted busy packing the monies in envelopes neatly arranged in official envelopes addressed to each of the myriads of beneficiaries.

The two doctorate degrees holder in petroleum geosciences and environmental sciences , presently locked down in the centre of excellence with members of his nuclear family, via a telephone conversation said , ” It is just the beginning as he has some plans for the greater majority of his constituents to continuously better their lots ”

When pressed further on whether he will throw his hat once again into the ring now that he is very familiar with the political intrigues and terrain , he said that definitely we will cross the bridge on reaching it.

Dr. Dr. Nsidibe Akata also expressed confidence on the state coronavirus team for the milestone recorded so far and wished them well as they strive harder to nip the rampaging virus in the bud.
