…applaud NGO for keying into Gov. Udom Emmanuel’s vision

The Leadeship of Traders in Akwa Ibom State has applauded Ini Ememobong Foundation and partners, for empowering over 300 petty Traders with replacement capital across various markets within the 3 Senatorial Districts of the Oil Rich State.
The International President of Akwa Ibom Traders Association – Akparawa Idorenyin Raphael while addressing newsmen Thursday, shortly after an enlarged Traders’ EXCO meeting in Uyo, commended the Non-Governmental Organization, while disclosing that so many Traders have testified that the gesture was devoid of political, religious or ethnic bias.
Akparawa Raphael who is also the Special Assistant to the Governor on Trade and Market matters, maintained that in the past weeks of total lockdown, Traders witnessed the foundation’s effort in reaching out to her most vulnerable members in various markets with different intervention programmes; ranging from cash, food items, face masks, hand sanitizers, soaps and even customized buckets for washing of hands.
The Governor’s Aide while describing the gesture of Ini Ememobong foundation as a proper interpretation of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s vision about nation building, commended the leadership of the NGO for always placing selfless services to humanity as premium in all her doings. The Ibiono Ibom born Entrepreneur specially appreciated Comrade Ini Ememobong who is the Chairman of the NGO for carrying out the programme in Honour of the Akwa Ibom State First Lady- Dr (Mrs) Martha Udom Emmanuel, whom he described as the most Traders’ friendly First Lady in Nigeria.
Still at press time, the BOT Chairman of Traders in the State – Obong Christopher Usoro also thanked Governor Emmanuel for his effort in curtailing further spread of the dreaded virus in the State. He extolled Akparawa Raphael for always being a trusted and reliable bridge between the Government and Traders. Obong Usoro however, congratulated Ini Ememobong foundation for always towering above other private organizations in the State.
In their respective views, the Presidents of Urua Anwa in Oruk Anam – Mr Itia John, Urua Mbakara in Ikot Ekpene – Mr Innocent Akpan and Urua Nka in Eket – Mrs Ekatte thanked Ini Ememobong foundation for helping their members to Stay in Business after tempering with their capital during the lockdown. While Praying God to bless the foundation and her partners, the market Presidents called on other well meaning citizens and private organizations to emulate such gesture, adding that only Government cannot touch all the vulnerable persons in the Society.
