ALLEGED $1BN SECURITY FUND: FAYOSE DISSOCIATES SELF FROM APPROVAL BY NGF

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has dissociated self from the alleged approval of $1billion by the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF) from the Excess Crude Account (ECA) to fight insecurity in the country.
Governor Fayose openly disagreed with Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari.

The disagreement occurred at the old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa after a meeting of the Governors and Speakers of States Houses of Assembly.

Fayose said Governors never discussed the approval of the money, which was announced after a meeting of the National Economic Council, last week. Mr. Yari insisted that the matter was discussed and agreed upon collectively.

Fayose told newsmen before he left that he has already “approached a court today to challenge the approval.”
