Ibom Golf and Country Club has concluded arrangements to organise a golf tournament tagged; “IBOM ANNIVERSARY GOLF TOURNAMENT” as part of activities marking the 32nd Anniversary of Akwa Ibom State creation.
This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Uyo, by the Captain of the Club, Rt. Hon. Usenobong Akpabio.
According to Barr. Usenobong Akpabio, the event which is the fourth of its kind since inception of the Ibom Golf and Country Club, is billed to commence on Friday, 20th September, 2019, to Saturday, 21st September, 2019, at the Ibom Golf and Country Club located at Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort, Nwaniba Road, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The statement reeled out activities lined up for the event as: Friday, 20th September, arrival/registration, 12noon at the Club House; Practice Round, 12 noon – 6:00 p.m.; welcome cocktail to hold 8:00 p.m. at the Rose Garden section of Ibom Golf and Country Club, while activities for Saturday, 21st September, 2019, are: tournament Tee-off by 7:00 a.m.; buffet/prize presentation will take place at 5:00 p.m. at the Club House.
The press release which called on golfers in Akwa Ibom, Nigeria and beyond to be part of the events also invited members of the general public to grace the occasion.
