While handing cheques to the recipients, the Honourable Commissioner for Works, Mr Ephraim Inyang-eyen, charged those affected to relocate within a week so as to give way for the properties to be demolished and for the contractors to immediately commence the out-drain-falls construction and the road proper.

He maintained that, Governor Udom Emmanuel has introduced transparency and integrity in the payment schedule and structure and assured that, nobody will be shortchanged in the process and nobody can fleece the State Government in the process.

The works Commissioner thanked the people of Eket for cooperating with government to achieve the planned beautification of the Eket Metropolis and maintained that the work will be done in good time.
