The Akwa Ibom State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condoled with the family of Engr. Mbosowo Orok on the demise of his beloved wife, Mrs. Annie Mbosowo Orok, who was a committed National Officer of the party.
The State Chairman of the party, Obong Paul Ekpo, who on Monday 21st May, 2018 led members of his executive, paid a condolence visit to the bereaved family at their Ewet Housing Estate residence, Uyo, sympathized with the family over the irreparable loss.
The Chairman described the late woman leader as a forthright and compassionate leader whose wisdom will be missed in the State.
Obong Ekpo eulogized the Late National Officer as a great party woman who believed and thrived for internal democracy through her exemplary lifestyle, noting that “she used the recent retreat of the party as a means of unity for members of the party. Her weighty dimension to national outlooks during the event was awesome. She was, indeed, a woman of substance.”
“We pray for eternal rest of her soul. We pray that the children she has left behind will grow in strength and surpassed where she reached. We believe that she is already in heaven. So, we pray that God will use all her goodwill to bless your family,” he prayed.
Responding, the chief mourner and husband of the deceased, Engr. Mbosowo Orok, said he was humbled by the visit and thanked members of the Akwa Ibom State Chapter of the party, saying the gesture would forever remain in the heart of the entire family.
Engr. Orok, who described his late wife as a woman of timber and caliber, said “she played a prominent role for the party at the grassroots. My only appealed to the party is to assist my family give her a befitting burial.”
