While Many ‘doubting Thomases’ keep criticizing the PDP Umbrella Business Quest, an initiative of the Akwa Ibom State chapter of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), the Business Support Scheme made possible by Governor Udom Emmanuel is one of the silent strategies of Gov. Emmanuel in reducing unemployment in the State.
Today, while taking a walk, I stoped over at Uty Trend Enterprises, a company owned by Utibe Akwa, the overall winner of the 5th Edition of the PDP Umbrella Business Quest. What I saw for myself was not only amazing, but absolutely incredible.
Uty trend Enterprise, producer of Unik Milky Custard, now has distributors queueing up for their Products. In less than 1year, the company has over 5 Staffers gainfully employed in different units of the company
While interacting with the CEO who is a graduate of Business Administration and a Post Graduate Student of Economics, Akwa described the PDP business Quest as the best empowerment scheme she has ever seen. Hear her:
“Yesterday, we did production of all these Custard that you have seen here, our focus today is packaging the products. We are under pressure to deliver over one thousand 4 liters (2KG) of custard to our distributors whose delivery are due.” She added.
Other products manufactured by Uty Trends are Perfurmes, Air fresheners, Multi- purpose soap, toilet Wash, car Wash, Germicide, Disinfectants, hair cream, or odour control and all kinds of Cosmetics.
