Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has said that a new dawn of prosperity beckons on the state which is named after God and that the government and people are united in partnership with Holy Spirit for God to turn things around in the state.
Governor Emmanuel stated this during the September edition of the quarterly Government House religious meeting tagged” Akwa Ibom State Government in partnership with the Holy Spirit” held at the Banquet Hall Government House, Uyo.
He said “God often reveals his Glory to those who diligently seek him and the state which is named after God is a direct beneficiary of the divine benevolence because the government and the people are united in partnership with the Holy Spirit.”
He continued: “God has been gracious to the state given the number of foreign investors trooping into the state for industrialization and other businesses. That same God is about to restore the fortunes of the state and the Altars of Idolatry and other practices destroyed to make way for the state to thrive.”
He attributed the collapse of state owned industries to practices like pouring of libation and lack of managerial know- how as applicable in contemporary business world and thanked God and the Ministers of God for their prayers which he acknowledged, has ushered a new dawn in the state.
He particularly thanked The General overseer of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumiyi, for shelving his tight schedule to visit and bless the state and called on the people to continue to identify with his administration for the harvest of success.
Pastor William kumiyi called on all to continue in a consecrated faith with God stressing that as a state named after God it was the Grace of God that established the state in 1987 and has been with the state as was the case with the children of Israel leading them to the Promised Land.
The man of God who took his text from the book of Numbers chapter 13 cautioned against disunity noting that it can slow down a whole Nation from making progress towards the prophetic future.
Pastor Kumiyi charged the people to key into the vision of the Governor and supports him like Caleb and Joshua who singled themselves out from the Grasshopper mentality.
The man of God admonished the people to have faith and not to allow the present economic recession to affect them but hope in a Powerful God who have the key to all goodness.
He particularly lauded the state government for it decision to partner with God and prayed God to bless the state, and country Nigeria.
