Governor Udom Emmanuel got another N15billion loan approval from the State House of Assembly.
This was sequel to his request and persistent lobby of members of the House of Assembly on the grounds that the money will aid the implementation of his programmes for the state.
Governor Emmanuel since the beginning of his administration has been giving one loan approval by the sixth Assembly after another, despite the outcry of the people of the state.
On Monday, the Senior Special Assistant to the President Muhammadu Buhari on National Assembly (Senate) Matter, Ita Enang, blasted the governor in an interaction with newsmen, saying that the state government is using the people of the state as collateral for the loans it collected without disclosing the actual debt profile of the state to the people.
Enang said that the state Governor and the Accountant-General of the state are staffers of the Zenith Bank who are on secondment as Receivers, noting that they are appointed by the bank for the state as its receiver.
The State Government is yet to respond to Ita Enang’s assertion even as it got the Assembly approval for another loan. (Culled from The Radar).
