2023: OUR CHOICE MUST BE “PEOPLE-ORIENTED, INNOVATIVE-MINDED” – IDE

Obong Ide Owodiong-Idemeko, International Coordinator, 1001+ Voices Initiative for People Empowerment and Frontline Governorship hopeful for Akwa Ibom State was hosted as SPECIAL GUEST by members of the UKANAFUN COMMUNITY in Lagos during the inauguration of their newly elected officers/Awards ceremony held on Saturday September 25, 2021 at the Akwa Ibom State Community Hall, Tejuosho, Lagos.

In his speech during the event Obong Owodiong-Idemeko who was represented by Elder Maurice Isaac, President of Etinan Local Government Area Community in Lagos reiterated his total commitment to grassroots development and enhancement of community power through the provision of improved livelihood of people in Akwa Ibom State. He emphasized the need for collective action among the people to ensure the election of a credible, people-oriented and innovative-minded leader as governor in 2023, qualities which he noted are consistent with his aspiration.

He further thanked the people not to relent in their efforts to come together to pursue the collective goal of developing their communities back home and providing safety nets for their members while working to make a livelihood in Lagos.

Obong Owodiong-Idemeko enjoined the newly elected leaders to build, sustain and improve upon the foundation of the outgoing leadership of the Ukanafun Community in Lagos.
