2019: UKPONG-UDO RECEIVES PDP FLAG, REITERATES COMMITMENT TO IKONO/INI PEOPLE

 


As the Akwa Ibom State leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Governor Udom Emmanuel, on Wednesday, flagged- off the party’s campaign for the 2019 elections, standard bearer for Ikono/INI Federal Constituency, Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo, who was officially presented with the party’s flag, has reiterated his commitment to the people of Ikono and INI Local Government Areas.

Speaking with newsmen at the Uyo Township Stadium, Obong Ukpong-Udo expressed satisfaction with the leadership of the party, the sterling performance of Governor Emmanuel and urged the electorates to go all the way for PDP by voting for all its candidates in the 2019 elections.

“Today is a great day for PDP in Akwa Ibom State. By the sea of heads at the Uyo Township Stadium today, there will be millions of votes for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Governor Udom Emmanuel, myself and every other candidates of the party in the 2019 elections. I am quite proud of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s leadership. Today has also confirmed that Akwa Ibom people will render total support to the victory of the PDP. I am counting on the millions of votes from Akwa Ibom State for the PDP at the polls. Akwa Ibom State has always been a PDP State. I am convinced that the people’s votes for PDP in this election will be higher than ever,” Obong Ukpong-Udo said.

He called on the electorates to vote all PDP candidates, saying “only PDP will restore Nigeria and only PDP will keep Akwa Ibom on the path of peace, development and progress.”

The Ikono/INI Federate Constituency candidate, who was surrounded by members of his campaign team, Mkpoikana Campaign Organization, called on his supporters across Ikono and INI Local Government Areas to “vote en masse for peace, infrastructural development and progress, which according to him, signifies PDP, in the elections.”

Obong Ukpong-Udo further said the PDP administration, led by Governor Emmanuel, has taken “major reforms in infrastructure, entrepreneurship, education, health among other sectors for the interest of the state and my agenda for the people of Ikono/INI Federal Constituency is tied to these.”

He, however, tasked the people of Ikono and INI Local Government Areas on peaceful and orderly campaigns, adding that his election is to consolidate on Governor Emmanuel’s achievements in the Federal Constituency.
