…Donates 10 Mini-Buses To Members
To complement Governor Udom Emmanuel’s effort in human capacity development, a frontline corporative society, Ufan Udo Multi-Purpose Corporative Society (MPCS), has given out 10 Mini-Buses to its registered members during the phase one empowerment scheme of the body.
The Chief donor of the Mini-Buses to the corporative Society, Ntufan Elijah Iyak, who is also the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on SDG, said the purpose was to enable members of the MPCS in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area key into the Dakkada principle of the Udom Emmanuel’s administration.
Ntufan Iyak said he chose the initiative, which is his brainchild, to encourage Akwa Ibom people, starting from Ikot Ekpene, to succeed and begin to contribute to the progress and prosperity of the state.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, who said the initiative aims at giving out 50 Mini-Buses, warned beneficiaries to put the vehicles to good use to enable to good gesture spread out to others.
Presenting keys to beneficiaries on behalf of the Chief donor, the President of Ufan Udo MPCS, Chief Stanley Annah, said those who benefited from the scheme were duly and carefully selected to make up for the phase one of the programme.
He, said the gesture has endeared members of Ufan Udo MPCS to the Governor, adding “we have started mobilization of our members for Governor Udom Emmanuel’s second term in office. The campaign begins with us and you can see from the various stickers on the Mini-Buses. Our votes are for no one else but Governor Udom Emmanuel.”
Chief Anna, however, appealed to beneficiaries of the Mini-Buses to maintain and give their best to the running of the vehicle.
The event which took place on Tuesday at the Ikot Ekpene Local Government Hall has Saviour Monday Udo, Kenneth Nyong, Titus Obot Essien, Ime Vintant David, Ofonime Godwin Solomon, Nsikak John Isang, Ezekiel Christopher Essien, Peter Isong, among others, as beneficiaries.
