The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has screened all aspirants seeking to represent the people at their respective state and federal constituencies as well as senatorial districts during the forthcoming general elections.
The party assured all the aspirants of free, fair and credible conduct of its primary elections.
Speaking after the screening exercise, the State Chairman of PDP, Obong Paul Ekpo, thanked the members of the Screening Panel, which was led by Chief Noble Akenge, for the smooth conduct of the screening, which according to him, was in line with the directive of the National Leadership of the party.
Obong Ekpo said the Panel’s action has further affirmed that “the party is repositioned for it to regain its pride of place where the era of impunity has long been abolished.”
He thanked the aspirants for complying with the directives and tenets of the Screening Panel, saying their requisite credentials, which earned them the clearance, was highly commendable.
The State party Chairman also thanked party faithful for their commitment, dedication and supports to the party, adding that “PDP is poised to accommodate every interest in the coming primaries. The party is determined to conduct free, fair and credible primaries.”
