President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Professor Nelson Braimbraifa as acting Managing Director for the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
The appointment came on the heels of Mr. Nsima Ekere’s exit as Managing Director of the Commission.
According to a statement by President Buhari’s spokesman, Femi Adesina, on Friday evening, the President, following a Federal Executive Council (FEC) resolution, has equally vested the supervisory role of the commission in the Honourable Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, as well as approved the dissolution of the extant board.
The statement further informed that the “President has also appointed Mr. Chris Amadi as Acting Executive Director (Finance and Administration) and Engr. Samuel Adjogbe as the Acting Executive Director (Projects).”
The above appointments take immediate effect, according to the statement.
