The outreach, which is designed to provide accessible and affordable healthcare to constituents, will feature general surgeries, eye tests, eye surgeries, and the distribution of free eyeglasses.

It is scheduled to hold in three phases as follows: Uyo/Uruan/Nsit Atai/Ibesikpo Asutan Federal Constituency, Model Primary Health Center, Ikot Nkwo, Ibesikpo Asutan LGA, from Wednesday, September 17 – Friday, September 19, 2025.

Itu/Ibiono Ibom Federal Constituency, St. Theresa Hospital, Use Abat, Ibiono Ibom LGA, from Thursday, October 2 – Saturday, October 4, 2025. The daily activities will run from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Speaking about the outreach, Senator Bassey said, “Healthcare is one of the most critical needs of our people, yet it remains out of reach for many, especially those in rural areas. This outreach is a practical way of bringing free medical and surgical services to our communities. It is my firm belief that a healthy people will always be a productive people, and I remain committed to improving the welfare and wellbeing of every constituent across the Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District.”

Senator Bassey therefore enjoined all residents of the Senatorial District to take full advantage of the outreach by attending the centers closest to them.
