Members of the Conference Of Online Publishers Association (COOPA), paid a condolence visit to the Member representing Abak/Ika/Etim Ekpo in the Federal House of representatives, Hon Aniekan Umanah over the death of his mother, Late Deaconess Mercy Umanah.
Leading the delegation on the visit, the Deputy Chancellor of the group, Mr. Aniekan Ekah said the deceased while alive devoted her life to the service of humanity.
He admonished the family to take solace in the fact that she contributed immensely to the development of Abak LGA, Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria while alive.
“Sir we are here to condole with you over the irreparable loss of your beloved mother, late Deaconess Mercy Umanah. From records, we are told that she sacrificed a great deal for her family and also gave her best to the development of her community, Akwa Ibom state and Nigeria in her life time”, Ekah said.
Responding, Hon Aniekan Umanah, who is the patron of the Conference, thanked them for the visit and promised to continue in the steps of his mother.
Meanwhile, the burial ceremony is slated for Friday, April 30, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Grounds, Hospital Road, Abak; by 10:00am.
