The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Victor Antai has donated a total of 12 cars to his friends and supporters of the PDP in Oron Federal Constituency.
Antai, a former Executive Chairman of Mbo Local Government Area, donated the 12th car recently to Mr. Silas Bassey Eyo at Ibaka after he led the Deputy Governor, Mr. Moses Ekpo to inspect the scene of fire disaster at Ibaka beach market.
He thanked the youths of Ibaka for staying calm in the face of the fire incident which razed their shops and means of livelihoods, assured victims of the disaster that the government will provide succour.
The Local Government and Chieftaincy Commissioner said he will continue to empower the youths who supported the emergence of Governor Udom Emmanuel and success of the PDP during the last polls.
Antai appealed to the youths to continue to support the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel to deliver on its campaign promises.
He urged the youths to ignore the antics of the opposition who agitated without method for Oro governorship, saying that Oro will produce governor in due time.
“People are saying that Victor Antai is a traitor, that he did not support Oro’s cause. I want to tell you that there is no way Oro would have produced a governor in 2015 against the wish of the government”.
“Those who wanted to be governor did not have the Party structure; because of this there was definitely no way they could have won the Party’s primary.
I am appealing to all of you to be patient”, Antai said.
