UKPONG-UDO CANVASSES IKONO/INI FOR PDP, PREACHES PEACE, LOVE AT CHRISTMAS

Philanthropist and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Ikono/INI Federal Constituency, Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo has harped on the need for love, peace and kindness towards one another irrespective of religious leaning, saying a vote for PDP will guarantee better Akwa Ibom and Nigeria.

In his message to the people of Ikono/INI Federal Constituency and indeed Akwa Ibom State, Obong Ukpong-Udo noted that it was because of the love of God for humanity that He allowed His son, Jesus Christ, to come into the world for the ultimate goal of redemption, saying such selfless love is what Christians should reflect in their dealings with one another.

He further stated that love is God’s solution to humanity’s problems, according to Obong Ukpong-Udo, embracing God’s Love will put an end to vices that retard the growth and development of Akwa Ibom.

Obong Ukpong-Udo also urged leaders, stakeholders, party faithful, women and youths of the area to be guided by the lessons of the Christmas season which is anchored on love, joy forgiveness, peace and unity.

Canvassing for votes for the PDP, Obong Ukpong-Udo said “As we approach a very critical period in our the annals of Ikono/INI, it is time for us to take our destiny in our hands, chart a new course for generations unborn and rewrite the story of our Federal Constituency perpetually. I count on your support in my quest to provide visionary, purposeful and result-oriented representation for Ikono/INI peoples at the Federal House of Representatives come 2019. A vote for PDP and Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo is a vote for growth, progress and development.”

He implored the people strive to imbibe the inherent culture of mutual respect, hospitality, peace, trust and unity as virtues that will ensure landslide winning for the PDP in 2019.

The Ikono/INI candidate urged the people of the area to be resolute and firm in their quests to change the hardship brought upon them by the All Progressive Congress (APC) led government, warning that “only those who have ulterior motives like the APC would resort to the emotional fault lines of administrative differences in order to cajole the people and gain what they could not ordinarily achieved under normal circumstances.”

Obong Ukpong-Udo further called for all hands to be on deck to preserve and protect the corporate existence of Akwa Ibom and Nigeria, saying “We have no other state and country to call our home other than Akwa Ibom and Nigeria. We must keep and make it better. Our democracy must be sustained.”
