UDOM’S INDUSTRIALIZATION PLAN IS FAULTY, POLITICALLY MOTIVATED – APOSTLE EDUOK

A renowned industrialist, Apostle Usen Eduok, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Usmer Ventures, has faulted the on-going industrialization plan of Governor Udom Emmanuel, adding that the state can only make meaningful progress if the mistakes of the past are corrected.
The industrialist whose company is behind the foremost table water, Usmer, made this position known recently while fielding questions from journalists in Uyo on the industrialization plan of the Udom’s government, maintaining that it was politically motivated.

He dismissed the current industrialization move of the government as mere political propaganda meant to buy the minds of the people and therefore prevailed on Governor Udom Emmanuel to separate politics from business if he intends to succeed.

The water manufacturer who is equally the owner of Usmer Hotel at Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo also faulted the process through which entrepreneurs were selected as beneficiaries of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Medium, Small and Micro Enterprise (MSME) Development fund in the state.

He observed bitterly that issues of nepotism and political affiliations is still hindering the progress of business establishments in the state.
