… Gets Agricultural Cooperative Society As Retirement Plan

Teachers in Public schools within Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area have lauded the State Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Akwa Ibom State Chapter; Comrade Ini Ememobong, over the incomparable feat achieved in ICT development by Government Primary School, Use Ndon.
The Teachers, who also commended Comrade Ememobong for his consistency in the sponsorship of School Science Quiz Competition over the years, thanked him for his benevolence and show of love towards the people.
This commendation came today when the Publicity Secretary hosted Head Teachers of Public Schools within Ibiono Ibom to a feast at his home in Use Ndon Village, an event that has become a yearly routine.
Speaking during the event, Ememobong said “today is not about politics but to consolidate the destribution of democratic dividends as exemplified by our amiable Governor and leader, Mr. Udom Emmanuel”.
Barrister Ememobong, who said “though we cannot drive out poverty completely in the society but we can reduce it, maintained that poverty is of the mind and that it can be checkmated in our society by ensuring that democratic dividends are evenly distributed at the grassroot”.
He used the medium to announce the establishment of the Agricultural Corporative Society for the Retired Teachers in the area, which according to him, the cooperative society, will serve as a retirement plan, which will keep them engaged economically and otherwise after retirement.
The Publicity Secretary, who also pomised the teachers that the gesture will be sustained, assured that he will meet with the teachers of the area intermittently to ensure more items like blackboards, graph books, exercise books, chalks, school desks,school uniforms, sandals for pupils, and many others are made available to the pupils,students and teachers.
In their separate remarks, Vice Chairman of Ibiono Ibom Local Government Council, Engr. Dominic Udotan and the Special Assistant to the Governor on Traders Matters; Akparawa Idorenyin Raphael thanked Comrade Ememobong for the show of love and his determination to consolidate the effort of the Governor to bring governance close to the people at the grassroot.
The Duo used the event to appeal to many other leaders to emulate “this unprecedented philantropic feat” recorded by the Publicity Secretary, so that more dividends of democracy be distributed to the people at the wards, Units and families, thus making the people have a feel of governance at that level.
The Secretary to Ibiono Ibom Local Government Council, Mrs Mandu Esoh in her remarks, thanked Governor Udom Emmanuel and wife, Martha, for the opportunity done her and commended, in high esteem, the philanthropic gesture of the PDP Publicity Secretary.
Speaking also during the event, the Head Teacher of the Government Primary School, Use Ndon, Her Royal Highness,Queen Ofonmbuk Ime Inyang, who also commended Ememobong for the philanthropic gesture, enumerated the gains of his benevolence by the school to include donation of Grass Cutting Machines, thousands of exercise books, food items, school stationaries and other items.
In their goodwill messages, the Education Secretary, Head of School Services and Head of Teachers, Mr. Anthony Asiabo, Ime Ekeng Otto and Mrs Arit Umoren respectively, also lauded the philantropic gesture of the Publicity Secretary, saying he has indeed made the people of the area proud.
They further affirmed that the arrival of the PDP Spokesman in the political arena has effected a change in the ways things are done, thereby providing a platform where people in the area are given a sense of belonging, especially in empowerment programme of the present Government.
Elder Monday Emmah, Hon Jacobs among others also spoke at the event.
Highpoint of the event included a special prayer session for the Publicity Secretary and distribution of gift items.
