Jerry JOHNNY

The Peoples’ Democratic Party in Akwa Ibom State has debunked Sen. Ita Enang’s allegement that most cattles in Akwa Ibom State belong to the PDP; describing him as someone that speaks before thinking.

It could be recalled that over the weekend, the former SA to President Buhari on Legislative Matters, Sen Ita Enang had alleged that the cows roaming around Akwa Ibom belong to The Peoples’ Democratic Party.

In an interview on Monday, 12th August, the spokesman of The PDP in Akwa Ibom, Comr. Ini Ememobong stressed that Sen Ita Enang is a lawyer and that if he so claims that the cows in the state belong to the PDP, he should prove so. The party Spokesman added that Ita Enang may even be one of the people doing cow Business in Akwa Ibom because he is very close to the people who appreciate and agitate for RUGA.

He further explained that cow business is a business people should be proud of, coupled with the fact that the president of the country owns cows, to a point of declaring them as part of his assets. For Ini Ememobong, if people have cow business, it should be something of pride.
He told Ita Enang to mention the cow owners in Akwa Ibom if he knows them, especially now that he (the Senator) has a lot to do with Enang (cows). He also added that Ita Enang can go as far as mentioning the number of cows these people have.

Bar Ini Ememobong, in the statement, said that the Governor of the State, Deacon Udom Emmanuel; and his Deputy, Mr Moses Ekpo have no cow. “Senator Bassey Albert, Rt. Hon. Onofiok Luke, Bar Imo okon and others”, Ini Ememobong stated, “have no cows”; “so, if he knows, he should go ahead and mention them.

Comrade Ememobong pleaded with people to be mindful of the statements they make as elections are over. He warned People from carrying flying stories and should join hands with the Governor of the state and his executive members to build a better Akwa Ibom
