NO CAUSE TO WORRY, OSINBAJO WILL ACT AS PRESIDENT – BUHARI

As President Muhammadu Buhari proceeded to London Sunday night for follow-up medical consultation with his doctors, he assured Nigerians that the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo will function as acting President.

The President, in a statement released by his media and Publicity adviser, Mr. Femi Adesina, assured all Nigerians that there is no cause for worry.

“He is very grateful for the prayers and good wishes of the people, and hopes they would continue to pray for the peace and unity of the nation.”

The President, who is not sure of the length of his stay in London said the government will continue to function normally under the able leadership of the Vice President.

He said he has also transmitted letters about the trip to the Senate and the House of Representatives, in compliance with Section 145 (1) of the 1999 Constitution.

  1. Its now I know how selfish and stingy he is. If his health condition does not permit his functioning as the president, why can’t he resign for the sake of patriotism? How long should a vice-president be acting as president; for a whole term? I think Nigerian Constitution has alot of faults which need to be amended. The health statues of and individual need to be considered attentively before his climax to the apex position.
A sick president would lead a sick government in an ill-party; and they would all weaken the country’s economy, education, social well-being, politics, defence and sovereinty.
