LOOTED FUNDS: OBA TO FACE PROSECUTION, BAN BY U.K GOVERNMENT

The allegation of embezzlement of public fund leveled against former Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Bassey Albert Akpan (OBA), who is currently the Senator representing Uyo Senatorial District, appears to have taken a new dimension as President Muhammadu Buhari has moved to prosecute him, the NTA news bar confirmed.
Confirming this on Monday, May 7, 2018, the news bar of the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) further informed that the Senator will be banned by the UK Government any moment from now.
OBA, who was recently alleged ‘wanted’ by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegation of misappropriation of public funds and high level financial fraud that led to serious capital flight, is moving from pillar to post to save his neck.
