IT IS DINO MELAYE TODAY…

By Lere OLAYINKA

Those of you celebrating that Lokoja SHOW OF SHAME orchestrated by the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello in collaboration with the Police, let me tell you for free, it is Senator Dino Melaye now, you never can tell who will be next.

Granted, Dino Melaye was among those who foisted this CALAMITY Buhari on Nigeria and its people. I was among those who saw the danger of a Buhari’s Presidency and warned Nigerians then. However, life is sacrosanct and even if Dino Melaye is your enemy, it is animalistic to celebrate his arraignment in court on STRETCHER and refusal of the Magistrate to grant him bail.

Let me also tell you for free that Dino Melaye will survive these tribulations and come out stronger and more politically relevant than his persecutors. Already, he has survived the plot to recall him from the Senate; he will be victorious over Yahaya Bello and his Presidency collaborators.

Let me remind you the story of my arrest on October 8, 2012 by the APC government of Dr. Kayode Fayemi.

My offence then was that I posted a news item on Facebook on the mass boycott of the State Teachers of the Ekiti State Government imposed Teachers Assessment tests which was a point of disagreement between teachers and Fayemi then.

I was humiliated, I was dragged on the floor, I was detained for SEVEN DAYS and charged to court for SEDITION and INCITING TEACHERS AGAINST THE EKITI STATE GOVERNMENT.

The news of my arrest was relayed repeatedly on the State owned Radio and TV Stations. It was reported then that I was arrested while throwing stones at teachers that were writing the Competency Test.

In defending their reign of terror, Wole Olujobi, a media aide to Fayemi wrote then: “He (Lere Olayinka) mobilised to disrupt the exam by the teachers. He did not only plant thugs to stone the obedient teachers; he personally joined them in the stoning. He was spotted. The police were called in. He bolted. The police in hot pursuit arrested him in front of Adekaitan Filling Station close to Ola-oluwa Grammar School. He had earlier written on FB that he was indeed at Ola-oluwa where he said he did not see teachers writing the exam. He was furious that some teachers indeed wrote the exam and so he led an attack against them.”

A few days before my arrest and detention, my residence in Ado Ekiti had been entered through the roof in broad daylight. The assailants entered into my bedroom through the roof, ransacked the room and took ONLY MY LAPTOP and the CHARGER. Cash, watches and other valuables were not touched.

Today, I head the Ekiti State Radio and Television Stations where announcements, describing me as a thug, who led hoodlums to throw stones at teachers were aired. Those who gladly read the announcements now look up to me for favour.

Therefore, keep clicking glasses and dancing Shoki over the Dino Melaye, forgetting that the next victim of this oppressive government can be you or someone very close to you.

Lere Olayinka is my name, I am writing from the topmost part of Oke Agbonna in Okemesi Ekiti. If you are angry that I am against the autocratic and clueless government of your god of man, Muhammadu Buhari, you can come here and arrest me.
