INTEGRITY: RCCG PASTOR RETURNS N891,267.14 TO ACCESS BANK

Following a bank alert from an unknown source to his account,a Senior Pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God(RCCG) in Akwa Ibom state has returned a whooping sum of N891,267.14 to Access Bank Plc, Wellington Bassey way,Uyo ,Akwa Ibom state,stating that the said money do not belong to him.

According to an official letter addressed to the Branch Manager of Access Bank Plc made available to Newsmen,the RCCG Pastor,Pastor Okon Effiong Edet who stated that he received an alert on his phone on friday 17th May 2019 with a huge amount posted to his Access current account, has urgently appeal to the management of Access Bank Plc ,Barracks Road branch to reverse the money from his account as he did not engaged in any business that could earned him such amount.

“At about 4.45 pm on Friday 17th May 2019,i received an alert on my phone that the sum of #891,267.14 (eight hundred and Ninety one thousand two hundred and sixty seven naria fourteen kobo) was posted to my Access current account, i was shocked beyond belief,as i have not engaged in any business transaction that would have earned me such huge amount in my account. I had expected a reversal within 24 hours but it was not done” he said.

Pastor Effiong further urged them to investigate the status of the transaction and correct without further delay.

“In the light of the above,i hereby make an official report to the management in a matter of urgency to investigate the true status of the transaction and correct without further delay” he maintained.
