INI EMEMOBONG RAISES THE BAR IN SKILL DEVELOPMENT

The State Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Akwa Ibom State Chapter; Comrade Ini Ememobong has sponsored three more youths of his Community; Use Ndon in Ibiono Ibom L.G.A, to be trained as Barbers by a reputable Salon, UK Barbing Salon, 25 Aka Etinan, Uyo.

It could be recalled that Mr Ememobong made a promise during the Commissioning Ceremony of the Ultra-Modern Town Hall in Use Ndon early last year that he will see to the training of interested youths in various skill acquisition programmes in order to give them a secure economic foundation for the future.

Sequel to this promise, the first set of the carefully selected Youths of the area commenced training on Furniture Making at Ephra-Wood Company, Uyo, which was billed to last for 3years, starting from 19th June, 2017.

On monday, 15th January, 2017, the second set of the carefully selected youths were handed over by their parents to be trained for six months as Barbers, while another set has also been selected to embark on Aluminum and Steel Fabrication Training next month.

At the Orientation programme and official handing over ceremony of the Trainees to their Trainer and Sponsor, held at Mr Monday Archibong’s Compound, Use Ndon, Comrade Ememobong, who was represented by Comrade Martins Inyangetoh, congratulated the selected youths for being the torch bearers of their community.

Ememobong charged them to make the most of the experience, conscious that the skills to be acquired by them is very relevant to every economy and therefore capable of making them great in their future endeavour.

Speaking further, the PDP Spokesman described the trainees as the future of Use Ndon, saying the opportunity offered them must affect their community positively.

Finally, he admonished them to be obedient, respectful, hardworking focus and not to forget where they came from but remain good ambassadors of Use Ndon Community.

He promised to be visiting them regularly in order to monitor their progress at training and welfare.

In their Separate remarks, the Youth Leader of the community; Mr Ezekiel Usungurua, Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ward 4; Mr Kufre Ime and Mr Okpo lauded the State Publicity of PDP for his philanthropic gesture and for being a true ambassador of the community.

In his remarks, the CEO of UK Barbing Salon, Mr Ukeme, thanked God Almighty for the favour done the trainees through Comrade Ini Ememobong.

He also admonished the trainees to remain abiding to the rules and regulations of the company while they focus and pay utmost attention to their tutor during this period of training.

In his response, Mr Ukeme Monday Archibong, who spoke on behalf of the Trainees, expressed gratitude to God Almighty for finding them fit to be lifted up and the Sponsor for giving them this golden opportunity to acquire skill that will help them make earns meet in the nearest future.

He also thanked the CEO of the Company for accepting to train them while promising to heed to the words of admonishment given to them and do the needful while undergoing the training.

Highpoint of the event was a special prayer session for the success of the trainees by their parents and representatives of the leadership of the community.

The event had in attendance a number of family members, friends and well-wishers of the Trainees who witnessed the induction and handing over ceremony.

Others were the Youth Leader of the Community; Mr Ezekiel Usungurua,Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ward 4; Mr Kufre Ime, Mr Solomon Inyang, Mr Ita Edet Bassey, Mr Prince Bassey etc
