IBENO SECURES VICTORY FOR UDOM, AKPANUSOH

The people of Ibeno Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State have secured landslide victory for Governor Udom Emmanuel’s second term alongside the member representing Esit Eket/Ibeno State Constituency, Dr Usoro Akpanusoh.

The victory came as a result of the massive turnout recorded during the March 9 Governorship and House of Assembly elections in the area.

According to the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won the All Progressive Congress (APC) with 10,008 votes to 1,442 votes out of 11,829 total votes cast in the Governorship.

In the House of Assembly election, the PDP also won the APC with 9,698 votes to 1,524 out of a total vote cast of 11,826.
