ETINAN MOURNS FORMER ‘FIRST LADY’

 

Necessary arrangements have been put in place for the funeral service in honour of the virtuous woman, late Deaconess Eno Emmanuel Peters, former First Lady of old Etinan Local Government Area whose slept in the Lord on  Friday 2nd June, 2017.

 

According to the release signed by the deceased son, Obong Kingsley Peters the burial ceremony which is slated for tomorrow, Saturday 21st October, 2017 is expected to take place at the John Kirk Primary School Ground, Ikot Abasi No.1 in Etinan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State and it said to be conducted by the Mount Zion Light House Full Gospel Church, Aka Itiam, Uyo. Akwa Ibom State at 10:00am prompt.

 

The release further stated that late Deaconess Eno Emmanuel Peters came to the planet earth 77 years ago on the 6th April, 1940 through the family of late Edward Edem Udo of Ufok Nung Akpan in Nung Ibritam family in Ikot Abasi No.1 and Madam Dinah Edward Edeme (Nee Akpan Inwang) of Nung Ita family in Ikot Inyang Osom both in Etinan Local Government Area.

The statement says that she was the first daughter in the family. Adding that Deaconess Eno Peters was a very hardworking and intelligent child endowed with humility and honesty which portrayed a good result of discipline and fruitfulness of morality and family upbringing.

 

The report future indicated that the late Eno Peters worked as the Director to manage the day to day running of the Peterwills Guest House, a leading and reputable hospitality center alone Palm Street, Calabar, Cross River State.

 

However, the Late Deaconess Eno pass on peacefully to be with the Lord after a protracted illness on Friday 2nd June, 2017.

 

Meanwhile, the deceased son, Obong Kingsley Peters while describes his late mother as one in a million mothers and a virtuous woman who was so loving, caring, generous, hardworking, accommodative, peaceful, affectionate, above all committed and dedicated Christian woman, has invited the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Deacon Udom Emmanuel, government functionaries, State Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Akwa Ibom State Chapter, Obong Paul Ekpo, party faithfuls, other political class, Iman Ibom sons and daughters, old Etinan Local Government, relations, friends, sympathizers, well wishers and the general public to attain the burial ceremony.

 

Mma Deaconess Eno left behind her children, grandchildren, Brothers, sisters, relations, friends too numerous to mention.
