ENTREPRENEURSHIP: RHAB-YESS FIRST RUNNER-UP GETS N250,000 SUPPORT  

 

Akwa Ibom renowned businessman and member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Mr. Unyime Idem, on Sunday, stunned young business owners in the state and participants of the Rt Hon Aniekan Bassey Youth Entrepreneurship Support Scheme (RHAB-YESS) video contest when he announced the sum of N250,000 as his donation to Mr. Monday Emmanson, First Runner-up.

 

Speaking on the development, a Manager of the Scheme, Mr. Godswill Bassey, who informed that RHAB-YESS is an initiative of the Speaker of the 7th Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey, expressed appreciation to Federal lawmaker, saying “posterity will never forget his kind gesture and support for entrepreneurs in Akwa Ibom.”

 

“We sincere appreciate Mr. Unyime Idem for this feat and honour. Akwa Ibom is, indeed, proud of him,” he added.

 

Mr. Bassey further explained that the Scheme is “aimed at discovering, mentoring and supporting young entrepreneurs in the state to financial greatness. It also complements Governor Udom Emmanuel’s Enterprise Development Drive.”

 

He called on “corporate organizations and other established Akwa Ibom sons and daughters to toe the path of Mr. Unyime Idem and have their names written in gold for humanity.”

 

While urging youth of the state to continually take advantage of the opportunity offered by Scheme, Mr. Bassey hinted that the Week-3 contest for May Edition, which had Esther Okon Eyakndue (Winner), Nsidibe Offiong Akpan and Monday Emmanson, was keenly contested and the best in the RHAB-YESS series.
