DEFECTIONS ALERT: APC GOONS OUT TO SPEW FALSEHOOD – PDP

A cross section of Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) comprising of the former Chapter Chairmen and State Officers of the party on Tuesday thronged the Shelter Afrique residence of the State Chairman, Obong Paul Ekpo, to show solidarity and support for Governor Udom Emmanuel and the party.
The stakeholders used the event to dismiss and described the recently alleged defections of its members to the All Progressive Congress as a targeted lie and false exercise in futility propagated by APC Goons.
Speaking with the newsmen after the solidarity, Hon Imoh Essien and Sir Michael Essang, said though the attention of their members have been drawn to the purported news, they wish to inform the public that such alert was total false, barefaced lies, and propaganda pushed by APC goons who are primarily employed for such purposes.
They emphatically said that “such defection alert is simply a figment of imagination of the APC goons as all our members are intact and ready to contribute immensely to the reelection of Governor Udom Emmanuel come 2019.”
The speakers, who spoke on behalf of the gathering, advised the gullible public to discountenance such falsehood, which according to them, has been an inevitable content in the constitution of the APC right from 2015.
They expressed gratitude to Governor Udom Emmanuel and Obong Paul Ekpo for giving the part a new face and for conducting the most credible, transparent, free and fair primary elections, adding that their feat was worthy of commendation and emulation by INEC and other political parties.
The stakeholders further declared their unflinching support to the Governor and the PDP, saying their support remains unshaken.
