BE AGENTS OF UNITY NOT VICES, GROUP WARNS ‘IIKOT EKPENE SENATORIAL YOUTH COALITION’

The Reformation Agenda, a Sociocultural and Sociopolitical Group that projects the interest of Essien Udim Local Government Area and its people, has warned miscreants and attention-seekers under the guise of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District Youths Coalition to channel their strengths to the unity and progress of Akwa Ibom and not vices in the pocket of their sponsor.

The group gave the warning at the weekend through a press statement signed by its National Coordinator, Mr. Martins Inyangetoh, in Ikot Ekpene.

Mr. Inyangetoh, in the statement, said “the people of Essien Udim Local Government Area and members of Reformation Agenda distance themselves from agents of disunity, disharmony and destruction who purportedly flaunt themselves as youths of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District through a communiqué. The people of the area are very hospitable, industrious and development-oriented and cannot go that low in attacking personalities and the progress of Akwa Ibom.”

The statement further condemned, in strong term, the sponsored media attack on the Akwa Ibom State Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Comrade Ini Ememobong, adding that “no amount of blackmail and media attack on the party and the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel will deter the PDP from its forwardness.”

“We also distance ourselves from the attack on the person of Comrade Ini Ememobong. We advise these miscreants and members of the purported Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District Youth Coalition to always endeavour to separate official issues from personal issues,” the statement stressed.

“We are dedicated and committed to the development and progress of Akwa Ibom State. We will never relent in our support for Governor Udom Emmanuel and our dear party, the PDP. We sincerely urge the Governor to remain focus on the completion agenda of his administration,” the statement maintained.
