AWARD OF EXCELLENCE: INYANGETOH SUES FOR UNITY AMONG STUDENTS


In recognition of his selfless contributions to the growth, successes and development of youth associations, the immediate past Special Assistant to the Governor on Project Monitoring, Mr. Martins Inyangetoh, was on Tuesday honoured with an Award of Excellence by the University of Uyo Chapter of National Association of Essien Udim Students (NAEUS).

Speaking, Chairman of the event, Comrade Edemekong Christopher, who was represented by Mr. Michael Ukpong, charged members of the association to be of good behavior and “take their studies very serious in order to excel and record unprecedented feat in their academic pursuits.”
In his remarks, the recipient of the Award, Mr. Inyangetoh, thanked the leadership and members of the association for the honour done him and stressed the need for unity.
While pledging to continually support the association in all its activities, Mr. Inyangetoh charged them to be focused, determined and serious with their academic activities and graduate in flying colours.
The immediate past Governor’s aide used the medium to admonish the student not to disrupt the rule of academic engagements, shun social vices and acts capable of tarnishing their respective images as well as that of Essien Udim Local Government Area, maintaining “be abiding citizens and good ambassadors of Essien Udim, Akwa Ibom and Nigeria.”
In attendance at the event also were Mr. Nsini Umana represented by Mr Ekerete Ekorok, Comrade Kufre Nkorok, Comrade Blessing Lawrence, Comrade Prince Essien, Comrade Anthony Casmir as well as members of the association among others.
Highpoint of the event, which took place at the Barth Ebong Auditorium, University Of Uyo Annex, was the swearing in of the New Executive and presentation of awards to deserving individuals.
