ATIKU MAY NAME GBENGA DANIEL AS CAMPAIGN DG

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is set to name Gbenga Daniel, a former governor of Ogun State as the Director-General of his campaign organization, our source said.

According to an aide of the former vice president, both leaders are currently holding series of meetings to fashion out ways to ensure victory for Atiku in the forthcoming presidential election.

Daniel, who contested for the position of national chairman of the party in the last convention of the PDP which was won by Uche Secondus, was among Atiku’s entourage when he declared his intention to vie for the presidency in Port Harcourt last month.

“Atiku has finally settled for Otunba Gbenga Daniel as his campaign Director- General. Both leaders are currently in Dubai holding high-powered meetings. It is expected that the announcement will be made in few days.” (Source: DAILY INDEPENDENT)
