A’IBOM MOURNS EXIT OF ACE BROADCASTER, MARGARET ESHIET


Akwa Ibom media wave has been thrown into mourning as the remains of ace broadcaster, late Mrs. Margaret Eshiet, will be laid to rest on Friday, 30th November, 2018.

A statement issued by the Chairman of the Burial Planning Committee, Mr. Abita Ukot, indicates that the on-air-personality will be buried at her hometown, Upenepang in Ibeno Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, after a funeral by the Living Faith Church, Ikot Ebido Oku, Uyo.

Late Margaret Ehiet, aged 65 and popularly known as “Mma Sibaba Sibaba” died on Saturday, 8th September, 2018.

She is famous for her brainchild chit-chat Ibibio programme, Sibaba Sibaba, broadcast every Thursday on Radio Akwa Ibom 90.5FM, Uyo, which she used in highlighting societal ills.

Mrs Eshiet retired as Manager, Presentation in Akwa Ibom Broadcasting Corporation. AKBC.
