As activities geared towards the second term ambition of Governor Udom Emmanuel unfolds, a stakeholder in the Akwa Ibom Project, Otuekong Franklyn Isong, cautioned.
Otuekong Isong, a public affairs commentator, in a Facebook post: “Udom 2019 Campaign – A Note of Warning,” condemned the sudden campaign.
His post says “Whoever is behind this 2019 campaign art, should as a matter of urgency, stop it right away! Put a strong hold to it there. I am an Akwa Ibomite; I reside in the state; and I am yet to feel any presence or semblance of governance in Akwa Ibom state about 10 months after Governor Udom Emmanuel was sworn into office at the glamorous Ibom International stadium.”
“Is it the incessant loan requests which our sixth House of Assembly keep approving for the governor, without any query by the Lawmakers, and without any disclosure of the current state debt profile to its citizens that is giving the right to this 2019 campaign paint???”
Otuekong Isong, who urged the Governor to concentrate on the delivery of 2015 campaign promises, said “I will speak further if those unnecessarily distracting the governor with 2019 campaign refuse this voice of good reasoning. Governor Udom Emmanuel should deliver his 2015 campaign promises first, before talking about 2019.”
