2019: UDOM SECOND TERM NOT NEGOTIABLE – CYRIL UMOREN

By Fredrick USEN

As politicking towards the 2019 Governorship Election gears up, PDP Defenders, an umbrella association of all aspirants in the last PDP Local Government Primaries reiterated its unequivocal stance to another gliding victory for Governor Udom Emmanuel based on his superlative performance.
The PDP Defenders made this known to journalists through its Coordinator, Mr. Cyril Umoren, during a media parley in Uyo recently.

According to Mr. Umoren, “the Governor has done creditably well to deserve a non-negotiable return to the Hilltop Mansion come 2019. His achievements in the areas of industrialization, human capacity development, infrastructural development and prompt payment of salaries to civil servants are laudable testimonies to this fact.”
He further maintained that PDP Defenders will ensure that the Governor smoothly completes his eight years tenure, adding that his pragmatic leadership has already spoken volumes of his chances.
In his words, “the PDP defenders are all out in total support for Udom’s administration beyond 2019. That is the position of all of us.”
The PDP Defenders expressed confidence in the leadership of Governor Udom Emmanuel, especially in the prudent management of Akwa Ibom resources and unparalleled human development.
They called on the people of the state to embrace the industrialization drive of the Udom Emmanuel’s administration as well as its Dakkada philosophy.
