2019: NTEKIM CONGRATULATES EYAKENYI AS PDP NATIONAL CONVENTION ENDS

As the 2018 National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) successfully ended in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, aspirant to Eket Senatorial District seat and delegate to the convention, Barrister Ekpenyong Ntekim, has congratulated his co-contestant, Mrs. Akon Eyakenyi, who emerged winner in the contest.
In a thank you statement made available to newsmen, Barrister Ntekim said “The National Convention of our Party, the Peoples Democratic Party, which ended today in Port Harcourt, Rivers State brings to an end the 2018 nomination processes for the emergence of our Party’s candidates for the 2019 General Elections which started on September 30, 2018. I participated in the process as an aspirant for the Party’s Senatorial ticket in Akwa Ibom South. Notwithstanding the well-scripted, directed and guided process, the Party expressed its preference in the award of its tickets to which I am, in honour, bound as a subject of Party supremacy. I,therefore, congratulate and wish Mrs. Akon Eyakenyi well.”
“I wish to express my profound gratitude to a multitude of persons in diverse categories to whom I owe words of appreciation which cannot be sufficiently done in this medium. However, I specially note and appreciate, with thankfulness to God Almighty who is the source of all power, the Leader of the Party in the State, HE Udom Emmanuel and the entire leadership of the Party. I am equally yoked in unqualified gratitude to a variety of committed and energetic volunteers, especially the BEN Ambassadors and my worthy compatriots of G8. I urge all with justifiable reservations to forgive, forgo and move on in faith with our Party. I am encouraged by the trusty remembrance of those things that make me strong and those persons who have always been outstandingly encouraging. It is wise, therefore, to keep our heads up, stay strong, very strong; wear a good smile and move on unperturbed because God has a solution to every challenge as He has a plan for every other of our days.”
“Tuesday, October 2, 2018 is history without remorse. I make my daily godly entry into the future fearlessly, with an even brighter hope. Therefore, as our Party winds down its 2018 Party Primary Elections today, so do I wind up my 2018 Senatorial bid in Akwa Ibom South Senatorial District and wish all the candidates of our party the best of times ahead in the 2019 General Elections,” the statement ended.
